Bunquerada Popular Walk in Montellà and Martinet
The Bunker Park of Martinet i Montellà organizes the Popular Bunquerada Walk, with the support of the Montellà i Martinet City Council.
The route links a large number of bunkers from Line P, a defensive structure built during the 1940s and 1950s during the Second World War. This fortification was supposed to have a total of 10,000 bunkers organized into 169 resistance centers from Cap de Creus to the Basque Country.
During the Bunquerada , you will visit a good part of the 150 bunkers that we find distributed throughout the Baridà, defending a possible invasion from the north through one of the most accessible valleys of the Pyrenees: Cerdanya.
We therefore invite you to visit the Martinet Resistance Centre, with the aim of raising awareness of this historic moment and this great military defence in an incomparable setting.
In addition, this year previously unlocated bunkers have been added to the course!
