Ordino Livestock Fair

The Ordino Livestock Fair returns with a new edition that celebrates Andorra's livestock farming traditions and rural heritage. Now a firmly established event on the country's cultural calendar, it offers a comprehensive experience combining traditional activities, gastronomy, culture, and activities for the whole family in a stunning natural setting.

Throughout the weekend, the heart of the fair will be the Plana dels Camps parking area and the gardens of the Casa Pairal, where the main activities will take place. Saturday, May 9th, features the official opening, a sheep-shearing demonstration, and the national livestock auction and competition for Andorran Brown cattle, one of the highlights of the day. There will also be cultural performances, such as that of the Es Fradins de Vielha choir, and an afternoon concert to add a musical touch to the festivities.

Sunday, May 10th, will begin with a community breakfast and continue with activities such as a tortilla-making contest, a parish beef auction, and a parade with traditional music. In addition, attendees can enjoy folk performances like that of the Esbart Valls del Nord, strengthening the connection between culture and the region.

At the same time, throughout the weekend there will be a market of artisanal and agri-food products, as well as demonstrations of traditional crafts such as spinning, forging, ceramics or basketry.

The fair also features family activities such as pony rides, archery, and a photography exhibition dedicated to transhumance in Andorra. A free shuttle bus will also be available to facilitate travel between the different areas.
