Xató Festival in Vilanova i la Geltrú

The Xató Festival is held in conjunction with the Market Festival at the Mercat de Mar, an ideal opportunity to discover and acquire the ingredients needed to prepare the traditional Xató of Vilanova i la Geltrú, as well as enjoying a party with a varied selection of tapas prepared with the usual products of the market stallholders.

You can also buy the typical Xató tartlets from Vilanova i la Geltrú, prepared by Catering Caserco, for €10.

The casseroles include escarole with anchovies, tuna, cod and Arbequina olives, accompanied by a variety of trout and all served with the traditional sauce (cutlery and bread included).

The purpose of the Festival is to move towards consolidating this event as a true showcase of Vilanovan gastronomy, highlighting its dishes and products within the emblematic setting of the Mercat de Mar.
