Family activity - The Nabís at the Quarry: Fragments of life in color
Organized by: La Pedrera
Come with your family to La Pedrera to discover The Nabís, a group of artist friends who, with fascinating colors, convey to us how they lived the exciting modern life of late 19th century Paris.
Throughout the guided tour, we will come into contact with artists who, like Bonnard, Vuillard, or Sérusier, among others, wanted to restore painting's decorative character, as well as highlight the value of object design and interior decoration to embellish everyday life with a great diversity of works, reconciling art and craftsmanship.
After a printing workshop where the children will create their own exhibition poster, we will close the morning with a short tour of the emblematic period apartment of La Pedrera, where we will discover a domestic interior with an atmosphere very close to the works of The Nabís.
Dates:
- May 16, 10:30 a.m.
- June 13, 10:30 a.m.
Enjoy the best way to experience The Nabís exhibition at La Pedrera, the first exhibition in Barcelona dedicated exclusively to this key movement of artistic modernity.
