Port de la Selva celebrates a new edition of the Asparagus Fair!

The Asparagus Fair is the only fair in Catalonia dedicated specifically to wild asparagus. With its stunning setting and high-quality product, this fair has become a must-attend event for all food lovers. The day is designed for families to enjoy, with activities for all ages that are sure to delight everyone.

Saturday will begin with a walk and workshop on edible wild plants, led by Montserrat Enrich. This activity will allow participants to discover the secrets of nature and learn to identify plants found in our surroundings. Following this, there will be a presentation of the book "The Valley of Santa Cruz" by Arnald Plujà, a work that promises to captivate readers with its stories and landscapes.

On Sunday, the festivities continue with the trade and crafts fair, where visitors can find local and artisanal products. There will also be family activities such as a zip line and climbing wall, as well as more asparagus tastings to satisfy even the most discerning palates. At 11:00 a.m., a parade with traditional music will liven up the atmosphere, and in the evening, attendees can enjoy habaneras and a traditional Basque dance with the group Els Pescadors de l'Escala.
