Asparagus Fair and Tapas Route in Port de la Selva
Port de la Selva celebrates a new edition of the Asparagus Fair and the Tapas Route!
The Asparagus Fair is the only fair specifically dedicated to wild asparagus held in Catalonia. With its unbeatable setting and quality produce, this fair has become a must-attend event for all food lovers. The day is designed for family enjoyment, with activities for both adults and children.
Saturday will begin with a walk and workshop on edible wild plants, led by Montserrat Enrich, followed by the presentation of the book "La vall de Santa Creu" by Arnald Plujà. In the evening, the new edition of the Tapas Route begins, with a wide variety of asparagus dishes from the town's restaurants and bars, priced at €3.50 (€4.50 with a drink).
On Sunday, the festivities continue with a trade and craft fair, family activities such as a zip line and climbing wall, and more asparagus tastings. At 11:00 a.m., there will be a parade with traditional music, and in the evening, habaneras and a quemado (burning) dance with the group Els Pescadors de l'Escala.
A fair that combines territory, tradition, and flavor in the privileged natural setting of Cap de Creus!
