Route along the Camino de Ronda de Roses from the lighthouse to Almadrava beach

The section of the Camino de Ronda that we will do begins at the Lighthouse of Roses , which is located just below the Castillo de la Trinidad, also known as 'the Button of Roses', built in the 16th century with the idea of protecting the coast of possible enemies, just as the coastal path was intended to watch out for possible smugglers who arrived by sea.

On the way to Canyelles Petites beach we can enjoy some rocky outcrops of white marble with veins and of great geological interest. They are unique rock formations that are combined with tiny coves and charming corners where you can stop to take pictures.

The islets that we see when arriving at the beach of Canyelles Petites are known as the Ramales, which are a resting point for birds such as the cormorant. Further on, we will see other rocky outcrops such as the Omella and Ullastrell points, which are frequently used by fishermen. Finally and without loss we will arrive at Almadrava Beach, a good place to take a bath and regain strength!
