From Samont Hill to the Vallserena stream, Sant Pere de Vilamajor connects with the Montseny massif, offering countless trails for hiking enthusiasts.

Peaks, springs, farmhouses, valleys, and streams add to the town's fascinating architectural heritage in an environment where people connect with nature through the main economic activities: agriculture and livestock farming. These have led to the development of rural tourism projects in recent years, reconnecting the town's essence.

Medieval Vilamagore

The first weekend of November we celebrate Vilamagore Medieval.

A medieval festival that recreates the time when our town had a county palace that was the envy of the neighboring towns, a must-see stop between Barcelona and Girona on the road to France, which had a market to supply their basic needs. Between June 1156 and April 1157, more than a hundred people from different social backgrounds stayed there: ambassadors, merchants, pilgrims, Saracens, Jews, knights... and the most prominent, the Count of Barcelona, Ramon Berenguer IV, and his wife, Queen Petronila. Their son, Alfonso I, King of Aragon, was most likely born there, since we know that his wet nurse, Loreto, was from our town.

Come visit us the first weekend of November and you will find yourself transported back in time, with medieval attractions for children, street music and theatre parades, an expanded area of artisan and craft stalls, tasting piment wine (Catalan medieval wine) and, above all, by our secret, our strength, the more than three hundred volunteers who will make this impossible journey through time possible.
