Òrrius
Òrrius is a village of 730 inhabitants, located in the region of Maresme and located in a valley crossed by the coastal range, Céllecs and open to the northeast with views of Montseny.
Of great value for its fauna and flora reserves, it is part of the Cordillera Litoral Park and is crossed by a multitude of paths and trails where you can go hiking, horseback or mountain biking, as well as a great mountain climbing school. of Céllecs with tracks for all levels.
Through the valley flow lush torrents that provide their waters in the Riudemeia stream, which in turn flows into the stream of Argentona.
The urban center is divided by the road that comes from Argentona and continues to La Roca del Vallès.
In the lower part we find an old nucleus formed by a group of houses and two streets of new construction, with the rambleta next to the stream, where we find the school zone and the Municipal Sports Center, which links up with the road to Vilassar de Dalt, and in the upper part the church square, with the Town Hall, the Parish of San Andrés of late Gothic style, containing the chapel of the Rosales in Romanesque style, considered as the original church.
Last we found the Plaza del Mayo and the Calle Mayor, which links us with the Paseo de los Olivos, which leads us through the town to Can Cunill, an imposing 17th century farmhouse.
An indicated route is the Paseo de Ribera, which takes us through natural corners that we would not see only through the passage of the urban nucleus.
In the rest of the municipality there are several scattered farmhouses, some also of great value for their age.
In the northern end of the term we find the hermitage of San Bartolomé in Romanesque style and in the Céllecs mountain range an Iberian settlement.
Òrrius, the smallest village in the Maresme, but with great natural charm!
