Sitges Carnival
Once again the Sitges Carnival is celebrated!
The Carnival, with more than 100 years of history, offers activities for all audiences.
The carnival, otherwise known in Catalonia as the "Carnestoltes", is a festival celebrated according to the lunar calendar.
In Catalonia, the highlight of the Carnival festival begins with the arrival of Lardero Thursday and King Carnestoltes, and ends on Ash Wednesday, the day of the burial of the sardine, just before the Lent period begins, which Traditionally it was accompanied by fasting and penance.
If you want to enjoy some fantastic days of debauchery, you can't miss one of the most emblematic Carnivals in Catalonia!
