Cultural May in Capmany

Capmany welcomes the month of May with a cultural program full of activities for all tastes, combining theater, literature, gastronomy and popular traditions.

The program kicks off with a theatrical evening featuring the play "Ara Jo!", a cultural event that opens the calendar with humor and entertainment at La Societat. Also noteworthy is an engaging talk entitled "Wine and Religions," a unique presentation that blends culture, history, and local heritage.

Gastronomy plays a special role with the filled chocolate bar workshop, a creative and delicious activity designed to be enjoyed in a pleasant atmosphere. Theater takes center stage once again with the play "PANEROLES: les mata ni el lloguer" (Paneroles: Not even the rental kills them), a theatrical production that promises laughter and reflection.

Literature is also very present with the presentation dedicated to Alfons de Batlle, a teacher from Empordà, as well as with the traditional Literary Competition, which culminates with the awarding of prizes and highlights creativity and writing.

One of the most anticipated events is the popular Cake Festival, a festive and gastronomic gathering that brings together locals and visitors for a night of celebration and good atmosphere.

To close the month, the municipality celebrates the Senior Citizens' Festival, a special tribute dedicated to the elderly people of the town, with a fraternal meal that highlights coexistence and recognition of a lifetime of service.

This May Cultural event transforms Capmany into a meeting point for culture, tradition and citizen participation, offering a varied and accessible program that invites everyone to take part.
