Algerri Summer Festival

Algerri

Algerri, as a town with a long history, enjoys a great wealth of traditions and legends.

Various festivals are also celebrated, some of them strongly rooted in the town's history.

One of the main ones is the Summer Festival that honors San Bartolomé (August 24).

This festival has been celebrated in Algerri since ancient times, and today it has a multitude of activities to entertain and amuse both children and adults.

Within this act we can highlight concerts, sardana dances, open-air cinema, dance, and above all a very emblematic race that takes place every year during the Summer Festival: the Baixada de Carricotxes. It is about going down from the top of the town using "carricotxes" made for the event.

It goes without saying that there is a prize for the funniest, and that is why it gets more people to arrive "safe and sound".

Fun is assured!
