Cultural weekend in Riudecanyes

Riudecanyes is preparing for an intense cultural weekend with a varied program designed for all audiences, where music, popular culture and interculturality will be the main protagonists.

The activities will begin on Friday, May 29th with "Els Jocs de la Flama del Canigó" (The Canigó Flame Games), a family-friendly event featuring entertainment, dances, rhythms, and games linked to traditional Catalan culture. The event will take place on the school's playground and aims to encourage participation and the discovery of folk traditions through play and music.

The program continues on Saturday, May 30, with an afternoon dedicated to African music and culture. The event will include family activities, storytelling, face painting, and a food fair, all aimed at highlighting African traditions and promoting respect and cultural exchange. The day will culminate with a concert by the group Cayucos, comprised of Senegalese musicians and artists with ties to the region.

On Sunday, May 31, live music will close the program with a concert by singer-songwriter Anna de Marfil. The artist will present songs from her third album live, in an intimate performance marked by musical sensitivity, a combination of voice, piano, and percussion, and a delicate and personal stage presence.

The cultural weekend aims to combine tradition, diversity and contemporary artistic creation, becoming a meeting space open to the participation of residents and visitors.
