Casa Navàs
Casa Navàs, due to its unique character, is one of the finest examples of Modernism in Europe. Built between 1901 and 1908 by the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner and the decorator Gaspar Homar, it is the only Modernist building in Europe that has survived to the present day almost exactly as it was inaugurated, preserving virtually all of its original interior.
Guided Tours
Casa Navàs, due to its uniqueness, is one of the best examples of Modernism at the European level, since it is the only modernist work in Europe that has reached our days almost exactly as it was inaugurated.
Entering Casa Navàs is like stepping into a vast, ornate garden, where the stained-glass windows, covering approximately two hundred square meters, the stonework, the furniture, the embroidered tapestries, ceramics, paintings, silk fabrics, lamps, blinds, and more stand out. With the Casa Navàs Guided Tours, an expert guide will accompany you through the interior of the house to reveal all the details and curiosities of this jewel built by Lluís Domènech i Montaner in 1908.
Vermouth Visits
Enjoy the only modernist building in Europe that retains its original interior and savor the genuine drink of the city of Reus, vermouth!
Vermouth is a white wine macerated with herbs that began to be traditionally produced by many families in the city during the 18th century. In the 1950s, Reus boasted around thirty producers making some fifty brands of vermouth; afterwards, production declined, but a few years ago, Reus vermouth experienced a resurgence, achieving international recognition and prestige. So much so that today, no one visits the city and leaves without trying Reus vermouth.
The "Vermouth Tour" begins with a guided tour of the interior of Casa Navàs. Once the guides have explained all the details of this modernist gem, visitors move to the terrace designed by Domènech i Montaner a century ago. There, they can sample Vermuts Miró's white, red, and reserve vermouths.
In case weather conditions do not permit it or the logistics of Casa Navàs make it impossible, the second part of the experience will be moved to the old fabric store of Sucesoras Navàs, another wonderful place in this modernist gem.
