Livestock Fair of the Vall de Ribes and the Brown Cow of the Pyrenees

A new edition of the Vall de Ribes Livestock Fair and the Brown Cow of the Pyrenees arrives with the traditional artisan display and livestock exhibition.

The fair will begin in the morning with a farmers' breakfast at the Sports Pavilion and will continue along the Santa Caterina promenade, where the official opening will take place. Throughout the day, the public will have the opportunity to learn about the world of mountain livestock farming, get to know the animals up close, and discover the continued importance of this activity to the landscape and economy of the Ribes Valley.

One of the highlights will be the auction of bulls and calves of the Bruna del Pirineu breed, an activity that highlights the characteristics of this native bovine breed and the work of the farmers who maintain its breeding and selection.

The program will also include the awarding of prizes for the Bruna del Pirineu breed competition, accompanied by an explanation of the characteristics of the winning animal, offering the public an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of this breed.

At the same time, throughout the morning there will be a craft fair and livestock exhibition, completing a day that combines tradition, dissemination and fair activity.
