Chestnut Festival - Children's Party at Fogars de la Selva

As every year for some time now, we invite you to the best Castañada festival in Fogars de la Selva and surrounding areas.

Autumn is here! With it come chestnuts, sweet potatoes, panellets (small almond cakes), and many other flavors and aromas that remind us the cold weather is approaching. We celebrate together the arrival of mushrooms and the first rains. Would you like to celebrate with us? Get ready, because the Castañada (Chestnut Festival) is coming!

The Fogars de la Selva Farming Museum has prepared a host of activities for young and old alike to enjoy a very special celebration!

A workshop and several autumn games await you. You can sing, dance, and enjoy a children's entertainment show and nighttime games. And get ready… you'll have a much-anticipated visit: the Chestnut Seller! But she'll need your help to find the chestnuts she's lost. Bring a flashlight—you'll need it! And as a reward, everyone can try some delicious roasted chestnuts!
