As Easter approaches, Sant Julià de Vilatorta is preparing for another edition of the Caramelles del Roser, a centuries-old tradition that forms part of the town's cultural heritage. Once again, the Caramelle players will stroll through the streets with their melodies, combining historical pieces with new arrangements.

This edition includes several compositions linked to the recent history of Les Caramelles. Among them is La luna brilla hermosa (1947), with music by Manuel Suñé i Cervian and lyrics by Josep Suñé i Bonan, arranged in 1992 by Manel Suñé i Riera (Maneló), which will premiere this year with a new orchestration by Sebastià Bardo.

The repertoire will also include Ya es llegada (1987), with music and lyrics by Manel Balasch; Afanes de cofradía (2003), by the same author with lyrics by Anton Carrera and harmonization by Santi Riera; and Sant Llorenç del Munt (2014), with music by Santi Riera and lyrics by Anton Carrera.

A proposal that reaffirms the vitality of this tradition and its commitment to musical memory and renewal.
