Arenys de Munt Remei Festival

The Remei Festival in Arenys de Munt is celebrated with a wide and diverse program that combines tradition, popular culture and recreational activities for all ages.

The festivities begin with an afternoon of cultural and family-friendly storytelling in the church square, followed by one of the most anticipated moments: the unveiling of the restored giants Martí and Remei, coinciding with their 40th anniversary. The celebration includes a parade through the town's streets, reinforcing its connection to local culture. The day concludes with the "Night of Rauxa," featuring live concerts by local artists and a festive atmosphere.

Saturday is one of the busiest days, with activities throughout the day. A bird ringing session is organized at Can Jalpí, along with bouncy castles and family workshops. At midday, there's a lunch and dance for the main festival, with live music. In the afternoon, the highlight is the correfoc (fire run) with the Diables Socarrimats (Scorched Devils), featuring an inclusive section without firecrackers or moving objects. The 6th edition of the traditional Birràrium, a box-stacking competition, takes place. The evening culminates with the Noche de Disbauxa (Night of Debauxa), featuring local artists.

Sunday maintains its more traditional character with the service in honor of the Virgin of Remei and another parade of giants. In the afternoon, the public can enjoy family-friendly shows such as circus and dance, and finally a youth disco.

The festivities conclude on Monday with activities for all ages: giant games, a health talk, an experiential workshop for women, and a children's disco.
