Transsegre Balaguer 2024

Transsegre is the most important water festival known throughout the country. It has become a collective summer festival that takes place between Balaguer, Camarasa, Gerb and Sant Llorenç de Montgai.

Heat, water, imagination and an unleashed festive atmosphere are the main ingredients of this festival, a celebration that claims the recovery of the natural space of the river through a crazy and non-competitive descent that every year brings together enthusiastic participants with their original homemade boats.

The race consists of two crazy days. The first part of the tour begins on Saturday in the midst of an atmosphere of wanting to have a good time. The boats leave Camarasa and begin their descent through the calm waters of the reservoir to the beach of Sant Llorenç de Montgai.

At night, in Parque de la Transsegre a great party is held with shows and concerts until dawn. La Transsegre begins on Friday, continues on Saturday and ends on Sunday at lunchtime.

On Sunday at twelve in the morning, the participants, who arrived in good port on Saturday, leave the Gerb starting point and make a journey of about six kilometers, fighting against the hangover to reach Balaguer, thinking that the Transsegre is over..

Everyone participates in the party. While the sailors reach the end of the journey, the audience can have an aperitif and enjoy the animation groups that make the wait from the mainland shorter.
