Christmas and Three Kings festivities in Montblanc

Montblanc celebrates the Christmas and Three Kings Holidays once again!

Since always and like everywhere, these holidays have been celebrated in family company. The houses, squares and streets are filled with light and Christmas carol music while elements such as the manger and the tio fill the little ones with excitement.

On Christmas Eve you attend the Gall Mass and on Christmas Day you visit the nativity scenes, a tradition maintained by the Nativity Scene Museum of Catalonia with the Family Nativity Scene Contest of Montblanc and districts. During the afternoons of Christmas, Sant Esteve and New Year's Eve, the Pastorets are staged, a theatrical performance by Josep Maria Folche y Torres typical of the Christmas holidays.

The postman pages collect the letters that the boys and girls address to the Three Wise Men and on the eve of Three Kings Day, the parade takes place through the main streets and squares of the town to the Plaza Mayor, where the traditional reception of Their Majesties takes place..

On New Year 's Eve it is traditional to have the "Home de Nassos" accompanied by music, the San Silvestre race and the New Year's Eve festival.
