Come experience the performance of Els Pastorets by Josep Maria Folch i Torres in Balaguer!
Who isn't familiar with Josep Maria Folch i Torres's *Les Pastoretes*? Almost everyone has seen it performed on stage or even participated in it. However, few people know the origin of this work, which was commissioned by the Capuchin friar Rupert Maria de Manresa. Folch i Torres himself distinguished himself as a novelist and as an exceptional promoter and creator of high-quality children's and young adult literature in Catalan.
The adventures of Lluquet and Rovelló come with a renewed set design and the participation of more than one hundred actors and actresses, an unprecedented milestone until now.
The magic of Els Pastorets will once again fill the stage of the Escolapios school, an institution that has kept the tradition of Christmas theater alive for almost half a century as a space for community cohesion and cultural transmission. Els Pastorets remain, today, an essential part of the identity and collective memory of Balaguer and Catalonia.
