Tapis (Maçanet de Cabrenys) celebrates its Fiesta Mayor once again in honor of Sant Desideri, a traditional event that will bring together residents and visitors with popular activities, music and Catalan culture in a festive and family atmosphere.

The program will begin on Saturday with a musical afternoon on the terrace of Can Mach, a proposal designed to kick off the celebration with live music and meeting spaces to share the party.

Sunday will be the main day of the Fiesta Mayor, with activities combining sport, tradition, and community. The day will include a health walk around the town, as well as a solemn mass at the church of Sant Briç with musical accompaniment by a cobla band.

Popular culture will also play a prominent role with a sardana dance in the Plaza Mayor and a popular vermouth open to everyone, turning the town center into an intergenerational meeting place.

With this celebration, Tapís keeps alive one of its most deeply rooted traditions, opting for a Fiesta Mayor that is close, participatory and linked to Catalan popular culture.
