Summer Festival in Calders

Calders celebrates its main festival!

The program will begin with recreational activities, an art exhibition, and theater in the Plaza Mayor, while on Sunday there will be a community walk through the town's surroundings. As the week progresses, the streets and squares will come alive with participatory activities and events designed especially for children.

The main days of the festival will feature tournaments, workshops, face painting, communal meals, and several nights of music. Traditional elements will also be present, such as the fireworks display, the opening proclamation, and the Fiesta Mayor dance, which will once again transform the Plaza Mayor into one of the main meeting points.

The Onze de Setembre will have a particularly varied program, with flag raising, vermouth, paella competition, children's show, hot chocolate, music and festive activities that will last until night.

The final weekend will keep the festivities going with a market, foam party, sardana dancing, a popular fideuà (a type of paella), a "quinto" (a small beer), a correfoc (fire run), and concerts. Sunday will bring the more traditional side with a solemn mass, a giants' dance, vermouth, and habaneras (traditional habanera music).

Days to go out into the streets, share activities and enjoy Calders in the middle of the Fiesta Mayor, amidst long-standing traditions and proposals designed to say goodbye to summer with a good atmosphere.
