Small Main Festival in Castellar de n'Hug

Castellar de n'Hug is preparing to celebrate the Feast of Saint John with a program that combines sports, fire, music, and popular traditions. Various events will invite residents and visitors to share a few days marked by community spirit and the arrival of summer.

On the eve of Saint John's Day, fire will take center stage. The sports center parking lot will host the traditional bonfire of Sant Joan, one of the most symbolic moments of the festival. The celebration will continue at the community center with a street party for dancing, socializing, and welcoming summer in a festive atmosphere.

The following day, the festivities will keep the more traditional aspect of the celebration alive with a procession to the hermitage of Sant Joan. A mass will be celebrated, followed by the blessing of the bread and the surrounding area. All attendees will be able to share cake and muscatel wine.

The program will be completed with a sardana dance with the Cobla Pirineu in the Plaza de la Generalitat, which will add a musical and popular culture touch to the day.

A festival to walk, reconnect, light up the night and keep the traditions of San Juan alive in an incomparable Pyrenean setting.
