Singing of Habaneras and Tavern Songs in Platja d'Aro

The Platja d'Aro Song Festival fills the night with habaneras and tavern songs!

Platja d'Aro will once again host one of the summer's most emblematic musical events with a new edition of its traditional Habanera and Tavern Song Festival. The area around Cavall Bernat will be transformed into a stunning seaside setting, perfect for enjoying maritime melodies and the characteristic atmosphere of July nights.

The program will bring together three leading groups in the genre: Les Anxovetes, Arjau, and Son de l'Havana. Each will contribute its own style and sensibility to a repertoire that combines traditional compositions, contemporary pieces, and songs that are part of our collective musical memory.

The performances will feature habaneras, tavern songs, and melodies inspired by the Mediterranean and Latin America. The program will include well-known pieces as well as others that will invite the audience to discover new soundscapes related to the sea, fishermen, travel, love, and longing.

The event will culminate with a joint performance by all the groups, who will play some of the most popular songs from the Catalan habanera repertoire. It will be a particularly moving moment, designed for the audience to sing along and share the experience.

The day will be completed with a summer market of artisanal products on the Paseo Marítim, which will allow you to stroll among stalls, meet creators and discover pieces made by hand before and after the singing.

An evening to let yourself be carried away by the voices, guitars and accordions, and to enjoy traditional music in one of the most representative spaces of Platja d'Aro.
