Circ Raluy Palafrugell
After having presented her show "Kirko" in Aragón, La Rioja, the Basque Country and Castilla y León, Rosa Raluy and the Circo Raluy Histérico return to Catalonia to premiere their new show "AMUZA", and they will do so, as is tradition, in Costa brava. Palafrugell will once again host the Raluy Historical Circus during the month of August, and will witness many new features, among which the return of the Portuguese comic Sandro Roque to the artistic cast of the Raluy Historical Circus stands out. Sandro, who has just finished a series of tours between the United Kingdom and France, returns after 8 seasons to reconnect with the loyal Raluy audience and to captivate new viewers. Among the new features we can also enjoy the Skating Rey Acrobatic Skaters, the Boleadores of the Saly's Brothers (awarded at the Monte Carlo Circus Festival), the Aerial Ribbons of the Raluy Sisters, the contortionist Jesabel and much more. Under the artistic direction of Rosa Raluy, the company begins a new tour of Catalonia.
Founded in 1972 by Carlos Raluy Tomás, Circo Raluy has evolved from an ambitious project to become one of the most prominent circus companies worldwide. Throughout its history, Circ Raluy has been awarded prestigious recognitions such as the 1996 National Circus Award, the SGAE Max Award, the Ágora Award, the Ciutat de Barcelona Award and the Cruz de Sant Jordi, among others.
These achievements have cemented Circ Raluy's reputation as synonymous with circus quality on the Spanish cultural scene, captivating hundreds of thousands of spectators and leaving a lasting mark on the collective imagination. The circus facilities are unique in Europe, housing invaluable historical heritage acquired and restored over 50 years.
Original circus floats, carriages and trucks dating from different eras between 1850 and 1950 set the stage for one of the most beautiful tents in the world. The interior of the room, characterized by noble materials such as wood, bronze and velvet, exhibits hand-painted frescoes, offering an environment comparable to ancient European theaters.
Several spaces host exhibitions of posters, photographs, brochures and period stage material. These characteristics have allowed the Raluy Historical Circus to exhibit its facilities and shows in emblematic places such as the Moll de la Fusta, in the heart of Barcelona.
Accessing the Raluy Historical Circus venue translates into an unforgettable and enriching experience, culminating in a surprising and emotional show.
