Coves and beaches of Sant Feliu de Guixols
Sant Feliu de Guixols has many coves and beaches of outstanding features, among which are the Bay of Sant Feliu and Sant Pol beach, with its bathing huts features.
They are beaches to live them: where you will enjoy bathing and sun, we invite you to practice some of the many water activities to discover the seabed or enjoy the charm of small coves, scuba diving, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, paddle surfing, snorkel... with a wide range of activities for all ages; as I also propose to make a boat trip to spend a few hours at sea, and know their coast from offshore.
1. Playa de Sant Pol
Open sea bay with shallow waters. Very suitable for families with children consisting of a children 's playground in the park of the Dunes and Kids Club on the beach during the summer season. There marked areas for bathers.
In this bay one of the last formations of coastal dunes of the Costa Brava are preserved.
Business services: rental huts bathing, sailing and kayaking, windsurfing, water - skiing, diving, boat rental, buoys and moorings. It highlights the modernist architectural complex houses the promenade.
2. Sa Caleta
Rock Creek located west of the beach of Sant Pol, right at the beginning of the Camino de Ronda de Sant Pol in Sant Feliu.
This cove is accessible for the disabled and accessed by the beach of Sant Pol through the wooden walkway that marks the beginning of the Camino de Ronda. Ideal for snorkeling.
3. Cala Maset
Small sandy cove with deep water near the beach of Sant Pol. It is accessed via stairs that are next to the road of Sant Feliu in Sant Pol along the coast.

4. Cala d'es Cranc, Cala dels Mussols i Cala del Peix
very narrow, long and encased coves. It is accessed from the Camino de Ronda. The bathing area is in fact the flat stretch of rocky coastline that stretches between the Cala Ametller and the same Cala d'es Cranc.
The name comes Fish Creek in 1912 that a whale was stranded whale 18 m long and eight tons. They are ideal for snorkeling.
5. Cala Ametller
Small rocky cove located in a protected within the Plan for Areas of Natural Interest in Catalonia (PEIN) natural space. It accessed by a stone staircase born in the Camino de Ronda passing through this space, where the road turns into a wild path. Ideal for snorkeling and diving. Surrounded by a beautiful landscape of Mediterranean pine forests.
We can approach the coast road of Sant Feliu de Guixols Sant Pol access and walk along the walkway.
6. Cala Jonca
Small cove behind the port of Sant Feliu.
It is accessed from the forecourt of the building just behind the Yacht Club, the beginning of the road to Ronda Sant Pol where we find a picnic area with tables and wooden benches. Iron stairs down from this point to the cove. At the end of the flight of stairs must save a small slope without steps. Reefs and slabs make it very accessible by sea but very interesting for snorkeling and diving.
7. Sant Feliu
Located in the urban center of the population. Protected from winds by breakwater pier in the north and the south Punta de Garbí. The southern part is ideal for families with children. In the northern part there is a stretch of waterfront intended for small boats and where bathing is prohibited. There marked areas and lifelines for bathers.
Companies offer water sports: sailing school and kayaking, windsurfing, water - skiing, boat rental and diving. It consists of an indoor playground on the beach and a Meeting Point Club Children.
8. Cala de Port Salvi
rocky cove walk the Camino de Ronda (almost disappeared in this area due to the development of the sector), in the section between the street and the street Garbí Port Salvi.
This area has a rich seabed attracts many diving enthusiasts. Ideal for snorkeling and swimming as it has enabled a channel swimming.
9. Creek Vigatà
Beautiful cove of pebbles, located at the foot of a cliff. It is accessed on foot from the end of the street Jaume Vicens Vives towards the sea.
At the end of the street begins a flight of stairs rather long and steep stone that zigzags for about 5 or 10 min. until you reach the cove. Given this cove are the most important prairie posidonia municipality. Along with the Port Salvi set up a maritime environment of great natural value, including within the European Network of Protected Natural Areas, the Natura 2000 network is a mixed cove and nudism is allowed.
10. Can Dell Beach
Pebble beach at the height of the Punta Brava urbanization. The two hits to reach walking are within the same area.
The first access is found down the street entrance to the urbanization (Sard Street) and continuing down the street Can Pey left. After about 150 meters, to the left is a pine forest and a stone staircase leading down to the beach.
The second access is at the end of July Street, in the lower part of the urbanization.
11. Cala Urgell
Pebbly cove in the middle of the protected massif of the Ardenya, in a privileged natural environment and landscape space.
It is accessed by a narrow path that crosses a Comalada with a distance of about 10 or 15 minutes down to the sea. It should be noted that there are a couple of points on the road that are not easily accessible. This path is taken from the road to Sant Feliu to Tossa de Mar: next to the viewpoint that there is roadside, just after Punta Brava residential estate in the third corner of the road to the left is a landing where, if you stop, you'll leave this path.
12. Playa de los Canyerets
The only sandy cove west of the coast of the municipality. It is narrow and long, with clean, deep water, no rocks or shoals. Also included within the natural area of the massif of the Ardenya, surrounded by pines and oaks, is accessed from the Rosamar urbanization, already in the term of Santa Cristina d'Aro.
Vehicle access during the summer is subject to a rate of urbanization, which is private. However, citizens registered in Sant Feliu and Santa Cristina de Aro, vehicle access is free upon presentation of proper identification.
Via Ferrata Cala Moli
Mountain sports itinerary 480 m, marking a solid rock by the sea, which makes it unique in Europe consists of two sections. Difficulty: low to medium. The seabed of Sant Feliu de Guixols
The seabed is one of the most important points of the Mediterranean dive. Snorkeling, diving and apnea are very easy and safe to practice since they are less than twenty minutes from the port, and because we have depths ranging of 2 to 40 meters, which allow diving both those who start out as the most advanced. Its fauna represents 90% of the coastal fauna that can be seen in the Mediterranean. The absence of sediment, water makes its visibility enjoy an average of 20 meters.
Sant Feliu de Guixols is a corner of the Mediterranean where biodiversity experts and novices surprises underwater adventurers.
