Nighttime Walk Through the History of Canet de Mar

Canet de Mar is preparing to experience a new edition of the Night Walk through History, a proposal that invites you to discover the municipality from a different, intimate and memory-filled perspective.

This year, the activity will have a very special character, coinciding with the 90th anniversary of the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War. Through a shorter route, participants will be able to delve into one of the most complex and defining periods of the 20th century, discovering how the war was experienced in Canet de Mar and how it transformed the daily lives of the town and its people.

The walk will allow participants to explore spaces linked to local memory and delve into stories that speak of daily life, social changes, fears, resistance, and personal experiences. This activity is designed to foster a deeper understanding of the past, highlight the value of historical heritage, and remind us how major events are also experienced at the local level, in the streets, homes, and by the people.

The night will lend a special atmosphere to the route, transforming the journey into an evocative and surprising experience. An opportunity to see Canet with fresh eyes and be swept away by a story that blends history, memory, and emotion.

For organizational reasons, no group changes will be made.
