Gathering at the Santa Magdalena Fountain in Verdú
Verdú celebrates a new edition of the Aplec at the Santa Magdalena Fountain, a day of tradition, coexistence and popular culture that brings together residents and visitors in an emblematic natural environment of the municipality.
The festivities begin with the traditional mass at the fountain, a solemn moment that kicks off the day and keeps alive one of the town's most deeply rooted celebrations. Following this, music and dance take center stage with a sardana dance performed by the Bellpuig Cobla, filling the air with a festive atmosphere and popular spirit.
One of the most anticipated moments is the communal meal, a gathering around the table that strengthens the bonds between participants and maintains the Aplec's community spirit. The menu includes traditional dishes like cazuela de trozo (a hearty stew), accompanied by desserts, coffee, wine, and water, with a children's menu also available. Attendees only need to bring plates, glasses, and cutlery to complete this shared experience.
In the afternoon, the day continues with a fun bowling tournament, an activity that revives traditional games and encourages participation from both adults and children. There will also be various activities and surprises to keep the festive atmosphere going throughout the celebration.
The Aplec is much more than a party, it is a gathering that combines heritage, gastronomy and traditional culture in a unique environment, consolidating itself year after year as one of the most beloved events on the local calendar.
Don't miss it!
