Concabella Castle Music Festival in Els Plans de Sió

The Concabella Castle in Els Plans de Sió hosts a new edition of the Concabella Castle Music Festival, which consists of 3 concerts!

This year, the Chamber Choir will present the project Generació C (Chamber Choir & Contemporary Catalan Choral Composers). Under the baton of Xavier Puig, the program offers a sonic journey that blends tradition and modernity, featuring works by Bernat Vivancos, José Ollé, Joan Magrané, José Vila, Carlos Prat, and Anna Campmany, among others. Their compositions engage in a dialogue with pieces from the historical choral repertoire and with updated versions of popular songs, creating a vibrant and contemporary portrait of Catalan choral music. This will be the Chamber Choir's third appearance at the Festival.

On November 22, Sikarra Consort, with soloists Júlia Gállego (flute) and Joan Espina (solo violin and concertmaster), will perform concertos for two flutes and Vivaldi's Four Seasons.

The closing concert will take place on January 31st, featuring the Gerhard Quartet (Lluís Castán, violin; Judit Bardolet, violin; Miquel Jordà, viola; and Jesús Miralles, cello) and pianist Josep M. Colom. The program will include works by Dvořák and Brahms. Although both the Gerhard Quartet and Josep M. Colom have performed at several editions of the Festival, this will be the first time they share the stage, joining forces to celebrate the festival's twentieth anniversary in grand style.

Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the box office one hour before the start of each concert.
