Festivities of the "Mare de Déu de la Misèricordia" in Canet de Mar

The "Mare de Déu de la Misèricordia" festivities are back again this year in Canet de Mar!

The festivities will begin with cultural and recreational activities such as presentations, musical performances, and sports competitions. The weekend will bring some of the most participatory moments, with a market, children's shows, theatrical games, and a correfoc (fire run) that will wind its way through different streets of the city center. Musical performances will round out the evenings of celebration.

September 8th, the feast day of Our Lady of Mercy, will feature many of the most traditional events. Around the sanctuary, there will be a craft fair, religious celebrations, the display of giant figures, and other activities linked to one of the most important dates on Canet's festive calendar.

During these days there will also be parades, street theater, sports and family activities, sardanas and different initiatives that will allow you to experience the festival both in the streets and in the squares and municipal facilities.

The National Day of Catalonia will be commemorated on September 11th with an official ceremony and a floral offering. The program will continue throughout the weekend with more sporting and traditional events, including a new edition of the Snail Stew Competition.

The Fiesta Mayor Pequeña is a great opportunity to discover Canet de Mar in full swing and enjoy a few days where tradition, popular culture and festivities share the spotlight.
