Cap Roig Festival in Palafrugell

The castle and the botanical garden of Cap Roig have their roots in the year 1927, when the Russian colonel Nicolai Woevodsky, a lover of art and architecture, and his wife, the English aristocrat Dorothy Webster, who was dedicated to decoration and had a passion for for archeology and gardening, they decided to leave behind their life at court in London.

They chose to settle in this exceptional place, located in a unique and special place by the sea, with the desire to build their dream. This is a place where nature and serenity reign.

Today, the legacy and ideas of this couple are still alive thanks to the dedication and commitment of "la Caixa" Welfare Projects to preserving the environment and safeguarding the landscape and architectural heritage. Through their involvement, this institution is in charge of maintaining and protecting this site, ensuring that it endures over time for future generations.

The open-air stage, with a capacity for 2,458 spectators, is a charming place that brings together the most prestigious artists in the world of music. This magical experience takes place in an impressive 17-hectare natural setting, with the sea as a backdrop, located in one of the most outstanding botanical gardens in the Mediterranean.
