Hostal l'Estrella is a welcoming bed and breakfast located in the heart of Palafrugell, on the Costa Brava. Just 200 meters from the main square and the municipal market, its prime location allows you to easily enjoy the local atmosphere, the old town walls with the Church of Sant Martí, and the Cork Museum, housed in the former Armstrong factory in Plaça de Can Mario.
The building, constructed in 1605, is a grand historic house listed as a BCIL (Local Cultural Asset). It retains original architectural elements that give it a unique character, such as antique wooden ceilings and structural details typical of the period. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a spacious interior garden, a tranquil and charming space that invites relaxation and escape. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with personalized service that makes every stay special.
The rooms are elegant, comfortable, and bright, with walls painted in warm colors that add character and a sense of well-being. Natural light is a key feature, creating pleasant and welcoming spaces. Some rooms have a private bathroom with shower and separate toilet, while all are equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a patio, or access to quiet common areas. The inn offers free Wi-Fi in various parts of the property.
A buffet breakfast is served every morning to start your day off right. Guests can also enjoy the vermouth bar, Bar El Pati, an ideal spot to relax with a drink in a pleasant atmosphere. Several restaurants and bars are also located nearby, including Restaurante Juanan, just a short walk away.
Its location is ideal for exploring the Costa Brava. The beaches of Calella, Llafranc, and Tamariu are just 2.5 km away, and iconic landmarks such as the Begur mountains, the medieval village of Pals, and the Aiguablava cove are a short drive away. There is also a bus stop nearby, and the Palafrugell bus station is just a few minutes' walk. Girona Airport is about a 50-minute drive away, and Barcelona is approximately 120 km away.
