Experience Christmas in Montgai and Butsènit!
With the arrival of December, Montgai and Butsènit are preparing to celebrate Christmas with a full program of activities designed for all ages. Tradition, culture, and community come together in a series of events that invite everyone to share special moments and enjoy the warmth of this festive season.
In the days leading up to Christmas, school events, Christmas workshops, and carol singing fill the town with a festive atmosphere. The squares, municipal facilities, and the surrounding countryside become meeting points where people of all ages can participate in creative, recreational, and cultural activities that foster community spirit and a sense of belonging. Initiatives such as hanging star decorations, Christmas workshops, and outdoor activities in the woods offer unique experiences deeply rooted in the local area.
Religious celebrations, such as Midnight Mass, Christmas Mass, and New Year's Mass, keep traditions alive and are an essential part of the festive calendar. Likewise, events like the Caga Tió (a traditional Catalan Christmas log), hot chocolate parties, and live nativity scenes provide moments of wonder and magic, especially for children and families.
Christmas culminates with the arrival of the Royal Page and, later, with the visit of Their Majesties the Three Kings, filling the towns with excitement, smiles, and anticipation. These eagerly awaited events symbolize the peak of the festivities and strengthen the bonds between neighbors.
With this program, Montgai and Butsènit reaffirm their commitment to local, participatory and deeply rooted festivities that value traditions and create meeting spaces to celebrate the magic of Christmas together.
We're waiting for you!
