This event is over.

From August 14 to 17, 2026, the Els Concerts de la Baronia Festival celebrates its fourth edition with a very special proposal: five concerts by the Molsosa Trio in different towns of Pallars Sobirà, bringing chamber music to churches, museums and heritage spaces.

The trio takes its name from Molsosa, a female creature from Pyrenean mythology who, according to legend, covers the ground with moss wherever she goes. The group chose this figure for its connection to Catalan folklore and for the power of an image that transforms the landscape and turns it green, especially evocative in a region often ravaged by wildfires.

The program offers a journey through different eras and sensibilities. The program includes a selection of Johann Sebastian Bach's Goldberg Variations, George Enescu's Aubade, Franz Schubert's String Trio in B-flat major, D. 471, Matilde Capuis's Breve música por la gioventú, and a selection from the Divertimento in E-flat major, K. 10. The concert will conclude with a selection of Catalan songs and dances.

One of the most unique elements of this edition will be Candela Puigbó's cello. The cellist will perform with an instrument that once belonged to Pau Casals, on loan from the Pau Casals Foundation in recognition of her talent and virtuosity.

The festival will begin on August 14 in Tornafort, continue on the 15th in Estac, and on August 16 will offer two performances, in Gerri de la Sal and Esterri d'Àneu. The musical route will end on August 17 in Sort.

A rare opportunity to listen to a carefully curated chamber music repertoire, discover the history of the Molsosa Trio, and experience firsthand a cello linked to one of the great figures of Catalan music.
