Vilapensa is a festival of thought, a project open to knowledge, culture and science, humanism in general, informative, transversal, with the aim of reaching and mobilizing everyone, regardless of their origin, education, way of living..

We are all sometimes someone different and, at the same time, complicit in social norms. Recognizing this is key to reversing misunderstanding and violence, and to allowing ourselves to live with differences. This transition affects all aspects of life, so this year the festival will delve into this problem.

Although it is impossible to address all the "otherness" of the world, this year's festival emphasizes the foundations. It will explore how the category of "other" is created through what we call cognitive bias. We will also evaluate the role of feminism in denouncing these issues. We will have the opportunity to debate about space, observing the importance of borders in the construction of otherness. There will also be space to talk about time, like that of others in pre-modern times.

The program includes a wide variety of activities such as music, theater, cinema or photography. All this and much more is Vilapensa.
