Traditional Rice Harvest Festival in La Ràpita
La Ràpita celebrates a new edition of the Traditional Rice Harvest Festival, a day that invites you to get closer to the agricultural roots of the Ebro Delta and discover how the rice fields were worked in the past.
The meeting will take place at Ròtula Delta, near the Green Way and the Maritime Museum, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. During the morning, attendees will be able to observe firsthand the manual techniques traditionally used by farmers and learn about a way of working based on effort, experience and knowledge passed down from generation to generation.
The proposal will not be limited to observing these agricultural tasks. Visitors will also be able to actively participate in traditional activities related to rice cultivation, making the day a particularly interesting experience for families and anyone who wants to learn about this rural heritage firsthand.
The culinary offerings will begin at 1 p.m. with a charity tasting. For €5, you can enjoy a serving of rice, a bottle of water, and a pastry. All proceeds will go to Project Emma, dedicated to cancer research. Reservations are required to participate in this tasting.
The Traditional Rice Harvest Festival is a great opportunity to discover La Ràpita from a different perspective and to get closer to one of the activities that have profoundly marked the landscape, culture and gastronomy of the Terres de l'Ebre.
