Sea Flavors Day in Les Cases d'Alcanar

Les Cases d'Alcanar are preparing to celebrate the Day of Flavors of the Sea, a new gastronomic festival that will highlight the fish product, the seafood cuisine and the identity of a territory closely linked to the Mediterranean.

The event will take place at the port and the Fishermen's Guild of Les Cases d'Alcanar, which will be transformed into a vibrant meeting place for the sea, gastronomy, and local produce. The event invites residents, visitors, and food lovers to discover the most authentic flavors of the coast in a festive and family-friendly atmosphere.

The king prawn will be the star of the celebration, with a tasting of 2,000 tapas specially created for the occasion. This is an exceptional opportunity to savor this iconic product in a variety of preparations and discover the creativity of the local cuisine. The culinary offerings will be rounded out with an oyster tasting and a traditional fideuà, providing the perfect ending to a day brimming with flavor.

The festival will also have a cultural and educational dimension with the "Women and the Sea" exhibition, installed in the VIP area. The exhibition aims to recognize and highlight the fundamental role of women in the fishing and maritime sectors, emphasizing their work, experience, and contribution to the lives of coastal communities.

The youngest children will also have a children's play area designed so that families can comfortably enjoy all the activities.

A proposal that creates a dialogue between the sea and the kitchen, champions local produce and celebrates the gastronomic heritage of Les Cases d'Alcanar.
