Fair from Sant Andreu to La Llacuna
La Laguna celebrates a new edition of the Sant Andreu Fair, which has been held since 1935, and which for years has also included the pig slaughter!
The Sant Andreu Fair attracts over 5,000 people to La Llacuna each year, offering them the opportunity to buy cured meats and other high-quality, locally sourced agricultural products, while also showcasing rural life, inland tourism, and the potential of Catalan gastronomy. At the fair, visitors can watch producers and processors making cured meats from the animals, which have been purchased already slaughtered for many years.
Among the highlights is the hike and guided tour of Vilademàger Castle, an opportunity to discover the town's medieval past and enjoy a stunning natural setting. This exploration is complemented by opportunities for cultural reflection, such as the roundtable discussion commemorating the 25th anniversary of CELL and a tribute to its founding members, recognizing their collective efforts and commitment to preserving local heritage.
The heart of the festivities unfolds in the streets with the traditional trade and craft fair, which brings together artisans, organizations, and producers from La Laguna. The atmosphere invites you to stroll among the stalls, discover different trades, sample local products, and share conversations typical of a vibrant and deeply rooted fair.
Music and culture also play a prominent role, with traveling performances that bring color and joy to the day, such as the Quinticanta Children's Choir, which fills the square with voices and games.
An ideal experience to enjoy La Laguna with all your senses. We look forward to seeing you!
