Saint John's Eve celebration in Seròs
Seròs is preparing to celebrate another Saint John's Eve, one of the most special and eagerly awaited nights of the year. The Plaça de les Escoles will become the meeting point for locals and visitors to share a celebration full of fire, music, tradition, and a festive atmosphere.
The day will begin with the arrival of the Flame of Canigó, a symbol of brotherhood and cultural continuity among Catalan-speaking territories. After the reading of the manifesto, the flame will be used to light the traditional bonfire of Saint John's Eve, one of the most emblematic moments of the festival and a symbolic way of welcoming summer.
Music will also play a prominent role with a performance of habaneras and songs with a maritime flavor. The group S'Arena will offer an evening marked by seaside melodies, harmonies, and the intimate atmosphere of this traditional genre. An ideal option for singing, listening, and enjoying an evening outdoors.
During the celebration , the voting and proclamation of the Pubilles and the Herederos will take place, a tradition that strengthens the links between generations and keeps the festive heritage of the municipality alive.
The festivities will be rounded out with food, including cake for all attendees and a unique rum-burning contest open to everyone. It's a chance to show off your skills, share recipes, and enjoy one of the flavors most closely associated with habanera music.
A festival to reconnect, keep traditions alive and celebrate the arrival of summer with fire, music and village spirit.
Don't miss it!
