Flame of the Canigó in Sant Feliu Sasserra

After a whole year stored in the Castellet de Perpignan, on the early morning of June 23, the Flame of the Canigó was renewed on the top of the emblematic mountain.

From there, hundreds of volunteers and fire teams will take it through the Catalan Countries following various routes. It is tradition that the flame lights the bonfires on the night of San Juan and, year after year, this ancestral celebration also symbolizes the brotherhood between the Catalan-speaking territories.

La Flame del Canigó will pass through Sant Feliu Sasserra, with the Igualada route. The fire will be taken to the Town Hall where the cauldron will be lit and the Manifesto of the National Day of the Catalan Countries will be read. People can take the Flame to make their festivals.
