La Sénia Gastronomic Fair

The Gastronomic Fair of La Sénia is held on the weekend linked to the Sant Gregori Festival (also called Diada del Recapte), which takes place on the Monday closest to May 9th.

The link between the Sant Gregori festival and gastronomy led to the launch of this fair for the first time in 2004, a local project promoted by different organizations (City Council, businesses, entities, etc.), with the aim of offering a fun proposal to promote the typical products of our land and, at the same time, boost the economic activity of the municipality.

Currently, the Gastronomic Fair has established itself as one of the most emblematic events in La Sénia, becoming a key event on the town's festive calendar. Its success year after year is the result of the commitment and dedication of all participating organizations, which has allowed the fair to grow steadily in terms of visitors and exhibitors, evolving from a regional event to one with national recognition.

The most important distinguishing feature of this Fair is its commitment to the quality of the food products presented. For this reason, all the food available is handcrafted, with a majority of local products, but also including offerings from other parts of the country. This has made it a benchmark, being the only fair in Montsià that focuses on promoting food products.

With the aim of complementing and enriching the exhibition, a variety of highly attractive activities are organized in parallel, drawing thousands of visitors thanks to their quality and originality. Among these offerings are culinary demonstrations by renowned chefs, thoroughbred horse races, donkey races, the creative tapas competition and route, and the Séniafest concerts. All of this contributes to making that weekend feel like a festive celebration.
