It's Christmas in Santa Maria de Palautordera

Christmas activities return to the village of Santa Maria de Palautordera this December until January!

The municipality is preparing to fill the streets with excitement, music, traditions and spaces for community, offering activities for all ages and tastes.

The program begins with the traditional lighting of the Christmas lights and various community activities, officially marking the start of the festivities. Over the following weeks, residents can enjoy musical performances, children's shows, creative workshops, exhibitions, and play areas. Other highlights include Els Pastorets (the traditional Christmas pageant), choral concerts, and the Mercado de la Villa (Town Market), which fills the town center with life and a festive atmosphere.

The Ferran Soldevila Library is actively participating in the program, with storytelling sessions, reading promotion activities, and workshops that invite children to experience Christmas through their imagination. At the same time, various facilities and squares throughout the municipality will host special events, such as lantern-making workshops, sports activities, and charitable initiatives.

One of the most anticipated moments will be the Three Kings Parade, which, according to the program, will travel through the streets of Santa María de Palautordera on the night of January 5th, bringing magic, music, and the eagerly awaited greeting from Their Majesties. In the days leading up to the parade, the royal pages will visit different parts of the town to collect children's letters.

The program is rounded out with winter activities, family shows, and initiatives that encourage the participation of local organizations, weaving a Christmas that aims to be intimate, community-oriented, and full of emotion. Santa Maria de Palautordera is thus preparing to experience holidays brimming with tradition and shared joy.
