International Day of Rural Women race and walk in Riudecanyes

Riudecanyes commemorates Rural Women's Day with a sports day open to everyone, designed to share physical activity, nature and a time of participation in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

The main event will be a 7-kilometer run/walk, with an approximate elevation gain of 150 meters and an easy level of difficulty. The route can be completed by running or walking, as it is a non-competitive activity where everyone can progress at their own pace. The event will start in the morning from the Euro Sports Center.

Participants will have access to various services throughout the day, including a personalized race number, timing system, online rankings, and refreshments both along the route and at the finish line. There will also be a cloakroom, changing rooms, a commemorative gift, and a prize draw for participants.

The youngest participants will also have their own event with a children's race for boys and girls up to 12 years old. The course will be half a kilometer long, flat, and at an accessible level, so they can participate in the sporting activities in a way that is appropriate for their age.

The activity is promoted by the Taula de la Igualtat de Riudecanyes, with the participation of different educational, social and local entities, and has the collaboration of the Baronia de Escornalbou Sports Association.

An initiative that unites sport, equality and participation to celebrate Rural Women's Day in an active, healthy way and open to all ages.
