Firagost, the fair-exhibition of the Catalan countryside in Valls

The city of Valls will be the scene of a new Firagost, the Campo Català Fair-Exposition, a fair of the countryside and for the countryside, with all the accessories, which takes place year after year on the first Wednesday of August and on the day previous.

Firagost has always coincided with Wednesday, the weekly market day in Valls since November 28, 1210, when it was officially granted.

Eight consecutive centuries of weekly market on Wednesday are synonymous with prestige, tradition and commercial tradition of the Alt Camp region. For this reason, the Firagost edition has the special seal of eight consecutive centuries of Wednesday market in Valls, with all that it represents of history and tradition.

Today, Firagost is the showcase for promoting agricultural products and for agriculture, viniculture, horticulture, gardening... Firagost has established itself as a great agricultural and commercial exponent, with a very prominent presence, year after year, of thousands of visitors and buyers, and many complementary acts that complete the fair, and with the assistance of more than 350 exhibitors, including more than 30 agricultural cooperatives.
