Casa Vermouth Padró
Casa Vermouth Padró: discover the secrets of vermouth
Immerse yourself in the world of vermouth with an experience full of aromas, flavors, and discoveries. At Casa Vermouth Padró, you'll explore a stately home dating back to 1776 and learn how this drink, so closely linked to Mediterranean culture, is made.
Located in Bràfim, in the Alt Camp region, it is an ideal option to enjoy as a couple, with friends or during a gastronomic getaway through the Tarragona region.
A visit to be experienced with all the senses
The visit takes you through real production spaces that are still in operation: gardens and barrel courtyards, a herbarium, plant nurseries, infusion and maceration areas, and aging rooms with barrels and large foudres.
You'll discover how wine is transformed into vermouth and the role that herbs, roots, flowers, spices, barks, and citrus fruits play. You'll be able to observe, touch, and smell many of these botanicals to understand where the aromas and flavors in each glass come from.
Guided tasting of seven vermouths
The tour culminates in a guided tasting of seven vermouths from the Padró & Co. and Myrrha ranges, accompanied by potato chips and olives. You'll learn to recognize different aromas, nuances, and styles in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The experience, which lasts about two hours, includes a welcome glass of wine, a guided tour, a sensory discovery of the botanicals, a final tasting, and access to the shop.
Padró i Família has been producing wines and vermouths in Bràfim since 1886. Five generations of family tradition provide the historical context for a visit focused, above all, on discovering and enjoying vermouth.
You can also complete your day in the gastronomic spaces of Casa Padró, located a few meters away, with culinary proposals, tapas and local products.
