Ensemble Pyrene concert in Gerri de la Sal (Baix Pallars)
Music and words converge in Requiem, a stage production offering an intimate look at one of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's most iconic works. The concert combines the expressive power of the Requiem with texts by the poet Anna Akhmatova, creating a dialogue between music and literature charged with intensity and sensitivity.
The musical performance will be given by the Pyrene Quartet Ensemble, who will bring this monumental work to a more intimate and personal format. This adaptation allows the nuances of the score to be appreciated from a different perspective, emphasizing the expressiveness of the instruments and the emotional atmosphere that envelops the composition.
The literary dimension will be brought to life by actress Rosa Cadafalch, who will lend her voice to the texts of Anna Akhmatova. The poet's words will intertwine with Mozart's music to create an experience where grief, memory, loss, and transcendence become the guiding threads.
The result is a proposal that goes beyond the conventional concert and invites the public to listen to the Requiem from a new sensibility, in a format that brings classical music and poetry closer together.
Tickets are priced at €5 and can be purchased in advance at the Baix Pallars Town Hall and the Museu de Gerri.
