Sismògraf dance festival in Olot

From April 24th to 27th, the Sismògraf Festival returns to Olot, a festival that celebrates the movement of the body and the planet. On April 29th and 30th, we will experience Sismodansa, in celebration of International Dance Day. Sismògraf is the festival that captures the movement of the body and the planet.

A celebration of dance and the performing arts that is reborn every spring within a dynamic cultural ecosystem, accessible and open to the world. A grounded and conscious festival. Rooted in the landscape that defines us and in dialogue with other landscapes around the planet. Aware of its surroundings and willing to contribute to it through artistic creation. A sustainable and constantly evolving project.

Sismògraf is the festival that captures the movement of the body and the planet. Of the body, because it embraces dance, circus, performances, walks, and hybrid proposals; and of the planet, because we firmly believe that we inhabit a living world, with erupting volcanoes and rising seas, and that all of this deserves to be heard.

It's a conscious festival, committed to social and environmental responsibility, both in its team and in its production processes and artistic selection. It's also a deeply rooted festival, which, from La Garrotxa, establishes connections with the world. The landscape plays an essential role: understood as a physical space, but also as a mental and emotional landscape, and as a stage where things happen.

The Seismograph reclaims what makes it unique, while simultaneously projecting itself toward the world in all its complexity. Its artistic programming seeks to focus on the major social, environmental, and human challenges of our time.
