Carrilet Route | Olot-Girona, Garrotxa amb Bici

It is the pioneer of the bicycle routes created in our territory (Ruta del Carrilet Olot-Girona). In 1993, the restoration of the railway line between Les Preses and Olot began, its route was extended and conditioned to Girona. It is one of the green routes most frequented by cyclists, both in full and partial itineraries.

It is born in Olot, within the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa and rises to Collado de Bas along the upper part of the Fluvià river. It gently descends through the valley of Hostoles following the course of the Brugent river. Next to the Ter river, it runs flat to Girona through pastures and orchards.
