Chestnut festival and Halloween in Santa Cristina d'Aro
Come and experience the Castañada and Halloween in Santa Cristina d'Aro!
The first few days will be dedicated to one of the most traditional All Saints' Day sweets. On October 28th and 29th, a panellet workshop will be held at the Lugar de Encuentro Senior Citizens' Association. Participants will learn the entire process, from preparing the dough to baking. Space is limited, and prior registration is required.
The main event will take place on Saturday, October 31st, when the center of Santa Cristina d'Aro will be transformed to celebrate an afternoon of Halloween. A Tunnel of Terror will be set up in Plaça Mossèn Baldiri Reixac, with a themed route designed to surprise visitors between 6 pm and 9 pm. The activity is free and open to all ages.
At the tunnel exit, you'll also find a traditional chestnut roast, reviving one of the most deeply rooted traditions of this time of year. Chestnuts and a festive atmosphere will combine the imagery of Halloween with the flavors of autumn.
Throughout the day, children in costume can also participate in the "Grit o Confit" (Shout or Confit). Participating businesses, identified by a sign in their windows, will hand out candy to children who approach them.
A few days to enjoy Santa Cristina de Aro amidst panellets, chestnuts, costumes and some terrifying surprises, combining All Saints' Day traditions with fun activities to share with the family.
