Botifarunner in La Llacuna
On Sunday, February 22nd , the Botifarunner, La Llacuna's mountain race, will return. Year after year, this event brings together runners eager to enjoy sport, nature, and a great atmosphere. It has become a must-do for trail running enthusiasts, thanks to its challenging yet captivating course that traverses some of the most iconic landscapes in the municipality's natural surroundings.
The Botifarunner offers two options adapted to different levels and goals. The Classic, with a route of approximately 22 kilometers, is designed for regular runners seeking a more complete physical challenge. The Fast, with approximately 12 kilometers, is ideal for those who want to get started in mountain running or prefer a more accessible distance without sacrificing the essence of trail running. Both races share the spirit of self-improvement and direct contact with nature, combining paths, trails, and elevation changes that test the participants' endurance.
But the sporting weekend will begin a day earlier. On Saturday, February 21st, the Botifakids will take place, a family race of about 3.5 kilometers designed so that children, and adults too, can experience running in a fun and festive atmosphere. The route, around La Llacuna, is designed to be accessible and safe, promoting sport and healthy habits from a young age.
As a grand finale, the Botifakids event will conclude with a hot chocolate gathering in the Plaza Mayor, a perfect opportunity to share laughter and recharge. Registration for this family-friendly race will be available through the same website, making it easy for everyone to participate. A perfect weekend combining sport, nature, and community.
